We aim to give every one of our customers the best performance available from their VPS, and therefore allow all VPS's to burst up to the full server capabilities. What this means to you is that while there is no contest for hardware node resources (server is idle or in a low resource usage state), your VPS will act and have available the entire VPS Hardware Node resources. ie; Your VPS will act as a dual quad core Xeon CPU's, Raid SAS drives 8+Gb Ram. This is only applicable when there is no overcommitment on the hardware node - and this is our guarantee - "We do not overcommit on our VPS infrastructure"
Managed or Unmanaged Service.
A VPS is very flexible and can be configured in many ways to suite many purposes. Basic system administration skills are required to manage a VPS, however if you wish to enjoy the benefits without having to manage the server yourself we can offer this service for you. We can also assist you with basic tasks such as how to firewall your VPS and how to keep your VPS up to date.
Kernel Patches
Our Virualization layer operates at a software level and each Physical Server has only one kernel. Web24 ensures that the Virtuozzo Kernel is kept up to date, however, any applications installed on your VPS are the responsibility of the customer. For pre-configured application your Control Panel allows you a single click upgrade option whenever newer application versions are released..
Backups
We provide you with the tools to backup or snapshot your VPS and all VPS plans include allocated backup server space. Your Control Panel provides you with a facility to initiate backups to one of our online backup servers but you should also periodically download and keep a copy offsite. VPS backups remain the responsibility of the customer. We also offer a managed backup service, please contact sales@web24.com.au if you wish to take advantage of this service.
Firewalls
We are able to assist you in configuring your Linux software firewall. If you wish to have added protection, we can offer a managed hardware firewall solution from as little as $10.00 per month.
